Ananda Temple

Ananda Temple is the most beautiful and the best masterpiece of architectures in Bagan. There are four huge standing Buddha statues are displayed every cardinal points. The architectural style shows Mon and India influence. There are two corridoring passages and you can walk from inner corridor or outer corridor as well. The four standing Buddha statues are still remain original Buddha statues are South and North entrance. The Aananda temple was heavily damaged by the earthquake in 1975, but it has been restored with spires being giled in 1990 in preparation for celebration of the 900th anniversary of Ananda Temple. The most amazing thing you can see glaze jataka plaques and floor-tiles made of the sand stone was quite an achievement and inscribed with Mon language.
