Bu Phaya (3rd Century / King Pyu Saw Hti) This is the first and the earliest pagoda in Bagan wich is located at the bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Built by King Phy Saw Hti in the 3rd AD. This is pure Pyu style pagoda without conner stupas and without too much decoration and the design is just like the cylindrical. The shape ofthis pagoda is like a gourd fruit because this pagoda built at the place where Pyu Saw Hti killed the gourd plant with his magic arrow.
